I have seen several posts on the subject lately. Especially regarding the difference between online and real life friends. I personally can't see much difference. For me a real friend is someone you can talk to..about just about anything and know they will still like you even if they don't like what you said. They can disagree and even argue with you..but will still be your friend. They might get mad and sulk for a bit sometimes..hehe or I might...and then it's back to normal. By this definition even someone you have never actaully met can be a friend. They can't be companions in the usual sense though..I mean you don't just hang out at the mall or go to movies with them..not the ones that live on the other side of the world anyway. But that doesn't change the fact that they accept you and support you and love you...even when they do get mad at you. I don't have very many friends by that definition. I would love to have a few more and mindsay is a good place to find them I think. It takes time to get there though. Trust isn't easy..online or off.
