The animal shelter was pretty good today. The trailer is pretty cleaned up and not smelling so bad. And I have met a few of the folks that help out there. There are even a couple of guys. They seem real nice. The dogs are having a hard time with the heat though. They have shade and plenty of water but it's just too hot out there.
I took my new camera to the Crowley's Ridge State Park today and walked around the lake taking pictures. That was fun. I think I will get another memory card and some extra batteries and go to the other parks too. I have posted some of the pics on my yahoo 360 page. I am on dial up so uploading takes a while. I only walked the trail around Lake Ponder. One end of it is used as a swimming area the rest has paddle boats. There is a boardwalk on the end with a waterfall. It's lovely. I will have to hike some of the trails again and take some pictures. I think if I want pictures of the birds and animals I will have to get a camera that is faster though. This one is I think only good for still life sorts of things. But then again it could be that I haven't had enough practice with it. A guy from the yahoo photography group emailed me ...maybe I will learn a bit from him..he seems to know a lot.
I am on the second book I got from the library. I have four more and less than two weeks to read them. Better get cracking on that too.
I am going to get some rechargable batteries tommorrow. This camera seems to eat batteries. I will get several sets and always have two charged up. It ran out of power once today. And I filled the memory up too so gonna get another memory card also.
I suppose thats all for now. I am going to go take a bath. Believe me I need it. It was hot out there.
